When we say “clean” we aren’t just talking about our products or the environment. We aim to participate in cleaning up the world in more ways than one. That’s why we make sure our sustainability initiatives have double impact. With every purchase of a BEB Organic product, we are joining forces to contribute to the creation of a clean era.
Alongside our use of traditionally clean practices for the beauty industry, like using organic ingredients, glass packaging, and forest safety certified papers, we also contribute 2% of all proceeds to help offset social injustices, especially those related to packaging. Packaging puts more plastic in the world than any other business sector.
Through our partnership with rePurpose Global, we work with Taka Taka in Nairobi, Kenya to remove twice the amount of plastic used in our operations, and support ethical wages for waste workers in a community that is disproportionally harmed by both social and climate injustice.
With Taka Taka, we safely and ethically collect 270 pounds of low-value plastic waste every year. Together we are able to recycle and compost over 95% of what is collected, preventing waste from filling oceans and landfills, and stopping the emission of harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases from polluting our shared world.
Also in an effort to eliminate harmful waste, BEB Organic products are packaged in glass bottles. Our chipboard and paper for secondary packaging and marketing collateral is FSC certified. We use minimal packaging when we ship you your products, relying heavily on sustainable honeycomb paper padding instead of plastic bubble wrap.
Because our ingredients are certified organic and non-GMO, we are not contributing to the use of pesticides and harmful toxins polluting our soil. Our formulas are EWG Verified, Good Face Project Approved and PETA certified Cruelty Free & Vegan.
